Today marks World Autism Awareness Day. Autism is a disability of neural development characterized by impaired social interaction and a way a person communicates. Most symptoms become apparent before the age of three. Autism affects millions of people around the world and almost 1 in 68 children in the US.
Immediate Care wanted to take the time today and show our support for Autism Awareness!
A great day filled with marketing, some rain and a whole lot of BBQ
You may be wondering, "what in the heck is BBQ and Blues?" Well, it is just that...finger-licking BBQ and a fun festive music event held in Downtown Foley's Heritage Park the third Saturday of March for the past five years. Affiliated with the Alabama Barbecue Association, the barbecue cook-off attracts both corporate and individual teams competing for bragging rights in several award categories. Festival goers enjoy great food, music, silent auction and great marketing supplies from various companies in the area.
Immediate Care Foley became a sponsored judge this year in the event as a Judge's Sponsor and also had the opportunity to meet some great Foley residents during it all! A little bit of rain didn't stop Immediate Care from having a great time meeting and greeting and getting the chance to taste a whole lot of BBQ!
We all can't wait until next year!!
